Jazz dancing is a form of dance that showcases a dancer's individual style and originality. Every jazz dancer interprets and executes moves and steps in their own way. This type of dancing is energetic and fun, consisting of unique moves, fancy footwork, big leaps and quick turns. To excel in jazz, dancers need a strong background in ballet, as it encourages grace and balance.
Advanced Modern Level 3, Level 4, Level 5
Born in the early 20th century, modern dance is a dance style that centers on a dancer's own interpretations instead of structured steps, as in traditional ballet dancing. Modern dance pushes the limitations of classical ballet and favor movements derived from the expression of a dancers inner feelings. Turning against the structured techniques, costumes and shoes of ballet, Modern techniques are a more relaxed, free style of dancing. Modern dance put stress on torso employing such elements as contact-release, floor work, fall and recovery, and improvisation. Modern dance is often danced in bare feet with unique costumes. In the United States, several dance pioneers paved the way for American modern dance, including the legendary Martha Graham.

Hip-hop dance refers to street dance styles primarily performed to hip-hop music or that have evolved as part of hip-hop culture. It includes a wide range of styles primarily breaking, locking, and popping which were created in the 1970s and made popular by dance crews in the United States.

If registered in other dance forms add $20.00 to tuition for each other dance form class you will be taking. The base tuition only covers your ballet class for all levels.
